The Pinot Noir clones from Burgundy, France. These are "old" clones with a very low yield of max 30 hl/ha, in reality the yield is even less, at an average of 20 hl/ha.) According to the producer, Marion Rinke, the Pinot Noir clones that they use are amongst the best on the river Mosel. To the best of our knowledge, we are not aware of any other estate with such a low yield and who uses Sélection Massale clones imported from Burgundy.
Weingut Rinke adopts a minimal approach to its winemaking. Their process is mainly organic with use of natural yeast.
