Jean Fisch, Mosel Fine Wines, Issue 31, June 2016:
"Marion and Alex Rinke (known to some as the owners of the former Mosel Wine Merchant) are wine fanatics who cleared the Langsurer Brüderberg, a former prime vineyard in the Obermosel part of the region and replanted it with essentially Chardonnay and Pinot Noir back in the late 2000s. In 2015, they extended their activities to the Saar as they took over the 2.5 ha vineyards situated in Wiltingen and Oberemmel from Moritz Gogrewe, who remains in charge of vineyard management and winemaking.

This opens up to nice vibrantly fresh scents of white peach, white minerals and fine spices. Clean, lively and bright zesty fruits come through on the palate and the deliciously tart finish. This only needs a few years of bottle age and the touch of sweetness to integrate to shine. This is a delicious Saar wine in the making with outstanding upside potential as the wine integrates and gains finesse with age."
